In prototyping, precision is critical—it directly determines project success. At SG PROTO, we transform design into qualified parts through a standardized workflow with strict quality control at every stage. Here’s our full prototype manufacturing process:
1. Pre-Production: Material Sourcing & Design Review
Material sourcing: We work with trusted long-term suppliers. All incoming materials—metals (aluminum, stainless steel) and non-metals (plastics, 3D printing materials)—are fully traceable.
Design review & quotation: Our engineers review CAD files, identify potential manufacturing risks, and provide optimization suggestions if needed, ensuring the design is production-ready before quoting.

2. Core Prototype Manufacturing Process: Precision Machining & Dimensional Control
Precision machining: Based on material and tolerance requirements, we select suitable processes such as CNC machining,3D printing, or vacuum casting, following strict standards to minimize deviations.
Dimensional inspection: Using tools like projectors and CMM, we compare parts with drawings/3D models to ensure all tolerances are met.

3. Post-Processing: Surface Finishing & Visual Check
Our QC team inspects for surface defects and performs finishing processes such as sandblasting and anodizing. Texture, color, and finish are verified to match specifications—ensuring both function and appearance.
4. Final Delivery: Full Inspection & Secure Packaging

Packaging & delivery: Parts are cleaned and protected with custom foam packaging. Inspection reports are included for customer records.
